Is the world really safe

For a long time I used to watch the news to stay up to speed on the happenings in the world, but now, not anymore. I have gotten to point that nothing on the News interests me anymore because of all the violence and heart ache that I see. Very rarely to we see stories that are uplifting and joyous and make us feel good about society. Take for instance the recent attacks in India, the news media lives to just beat to death a story like that by covering it every waking minute of the day. Not to mention that hundreds of people lost their lives to senseless acts of anger and violence. I can only pray that in some small way the Lord will work through what happened over there and bring peace and salvation to lost land.
